18OL is an 18xx game about trains, tracks and finances in the former Grand Duchy of Oldenburg, a German country in the 19th century. The main game play is done through the corporations and companies which are creating and operating the railroad network. Players buy and sell shares, act as CEO of these entities and do everything to enrich themselves and make other players' life miserable.
18OL is designed to be a short game (even for newbies not more than four hours). It can be played with 2 to 5 players and plays best with 3 or 4.
No privates, eight corporations ("majors"), up to five local companies ("minors"), no separate stock rounds or operation rounds. 18OL is a game with full capitalization.
